Onitama is a fast-paced, abstract strategy game for two players, set on a 5x5 board where every move counts. Each player starts with five pawns, including their main pawn placed at the center. The game features a unique mechanic where players have a set of two cards showing different movement options, with one neutral card that doesn’t belong to either player.

On their turn, a player selects one of their two cards and moves one of their pieces accordingly. After using a card, the player swaps it with the fifth neutral card, which the opponent can then use on their turn. Players must outmaneuver their opponent, strategically removing pawns and aiming to either capture the opponent's main pawn or move their own main pawn into the opponent's starting space to win.
