Bloodstone, also known as Heliotrope or Blood Jasper, is a type of Green Jasper or Chalcedony Quartz with Red Jasper, Hematite, or iron oxide creating the “blood-like” effect. Bloodstone ranges from transparent to opaque and can be a light green-grey to a deep green-black or blue-black colour. You may also find white or yellow sections of the stone, which is sometimes called Plasma.
We recommend that you do not roll your semi-precious stone dice on a surface harder than they are (i.e., glass or wood tables). We suggest you roll them in a dice tray to prevent possible chipping or breaking.
